I have lived in NW Arkansas for over 25 years.  My background was in retail merchandising with Wal-Mart during that time period.  I have been involved with 7 Hills Homeless Center over that past 10 years. Through that involvement I was made aware of the rural communities being underserved.  Volunteering with Essentials Outreach is a way I can support these communities.

I have lived in NW Arkansas for over 25 years.  My work has been in healthcare, long term care and hospice.  In volunteering with other non profits I was made aware of the gap in services in our rural communities.  Volunteering with Essentials Outreach, providing health and hygiene products is a way I can assist our rural neighbors.

I have lived in Northwest Arkansas for the past 16 years and served our Veterans as a VA dentist for over 30 years. The mission of Essentials Outreach speaks to my training in public health. Participating as an Essentials Outreach board member and volunteer allows me to be a serving member of this community.

I moved to NW Arkansas 38 years ago to attend college, loved it, and became a permanent resident. As a public school administrator in a very high poverty district, I witness challenges that our families face to provide for their basic needs. Essentials Outreach helps us meet the needs of our community. It has been an honor to be a part of this charity and watch it grow over the past five years!

Having had the privilege of being raised in the Northwest Arkansas area, I have personally experienced and benefitted from the explosive growth and recognition of the area nationally as one of the best places to live. As the growth continues, it is important to remember the rural NWA communities that still may not have ready access to services. I believe we have an obligation to give back to our community and a great place to start is to ensure that we provide essentials to families that need them.

I am an associate minister at First Christian Church of Fayetteville, and working with Essentials Outreach gives me an opportunity to live out part of our church’s mission to be a serving church. We are at our best when we work together to make our communities a place where everyone has access to basic needs.

As a Northwest Arkansas resident that has lived in the area for 25+ years, I believe that the most important people you can help are the ones in your community. Essentials Outreaches mission to meet the needs of rural communities in Northwest Arkansas aligns with my personal belief and allows me the opportunity to serve my neighbors in NWA.
